Support NFID COVID-19 Response Efforts
Now, more than ever, the mission of the National Foundation for Infectious Diseases (NFID) to educate the public and healthcare professionals about the prevention and treatment of infectious diseases is vital to protecting public health. As we collectively work to fight against the most recent infectious disease threat—COVID-19—timely, credible, and trustworthy information is critical. The pandemic continues to evolve rapidly, with information and guidance changing frequently, along with an abundance of misinformation.
As a long-standing leader in infectious disease education and awareness, NFID is responding to COVID-19 with up-to-date information including:
- Complimentary webinars to support the heroic healthcare professionals and public health officials on the frontline response to COVID-19;
- Real-time monitoring of the situation, sharing the latest findings and developments through media outreach, social media, and regular updates to the NFID website; and
- Positioning NFID leaders to share their expertise on combating this latest threat.
NFID is also leading by example by implementing social distancing and supporting a fully remote staff.
Unfortunately, the threat of new and re-emerging diseases existed before COVID-19 and will continue once the pandemic ends. It is crucial that we continue to learn and prepare for future threats that we cannot yet predict.
Contribute to the NFID COVID-19 Campaign now—your support will help NFID respond to the current COVID-19 crisis and prepare for future outbreaks.
