COVID-19 Communications
Promoting Prevention Measures and Vaccine Confidence
The National Foundation for Infectious Diseases (NFID) convened a multidisciplinary expert virtual roundtable in January 2021 to share research, insights, and best practices for improving and harmonizing communication to the public about the evolving COVID-19 pandemic and the importance of following evidence-based public health prevention measures. Based on the roundtable discussion, NFID developed a new report, COVID-19 Communications: Promoting Prevention Measures and Vaccine Confidence, to provide a framework for developing effective communications.
We all have a role to play in educating the public about COVID-19 prevention measures. But as science continues to evolve and recommendations shift, there is potential for confusion and frustration.
