Orin S. Levine, PhD, is currently a founder of Tin Horse LLC and a non-resident Fellow at the Center for Global Development, a Washington, DC-based think tank. Previously, while at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, he oversaw four teams that focused on delivery of interventions to reduce child and maternal mortality, limit the spread of vaccine-preventable disease, and promote equitable health outcomes. He was also a tenured professor of international health and executive director of the International Vaccine Access Center at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and served as president of the Committee on Global Health at the American Society of Tropical Medicine & Hygiene. He joined the Board of Trustees of the Sabin Vaccine Institute, where he will provide strategic and technical leadership for Sabin’s Global Immunization efforts while the organization searches for a new president to head the division.
