When and where will the gala be held?
The NFID Awards Gala will be held on October 20, 2026, at the Milken Center for Advancing the American Dream, 1503 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, Washington, DC 20004.
What time will the event begin and end?
The evening will begin with a VIP reception at 6:30 PM, offering select attendees an exclusive opportunity to meet the awardees and other leading voices in infectious diseases in a more intimate setting. The VIP reception will be followed by a cocktail reception at 7:30 PM and awards program at 8:00 PM, open to all guests.
Do I need a ticket to attend the event?
All attendees must register to attend. Tickets must be purchased in advance.
What is the refund policy?
As a fundraising event for the organization, NFID is unable to offer refunds on any donations or ticket purchases. All ticket sales are final. Tickets may be transferred until October 16, 2026.
Are ticket purchases tax deductible?
All purchases are tax deductible under applicable laws.
Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?
Any dietary requests, including food allergies, must be sent via email to awards@nfid.org by August 28, 2026. Requests received after the deadline may not be accommodated.
What is the dress code?
The dress code for the event is business attire, black-tie optional.
How can I nominate someone for a 2027 award?
NFID presents annual awards to outstanding individuals who have made significant and lasting contributions to public health through scientific achievement, philanthropy, and/or policy work. NFID will begin accepting online nominations for the 2027 awards in early 2027.
