Panelists for NFID webinar on strategies to improve US adult immunization

Join the National Foundation for Infectious Diseases (NFID) for a webinar discussing the importance of adult immunization and strategies to increase vaccination rates among US adults. The webinar will feature a panel discussion addressing the burden of vaccine-preventable diseases among US adults and recommendations at the healthcare system, provider, patient, and legislative/public policy levels.

NFID Medical Director Robert (Bob) H. Hopkins, Jr., MD, will moderate the webinar discussion with Georges C. Benjamin, MD, American Public Health Association; Abby Bownas, Adult Vaccine Access Coalition; Helen Burstin, MD, MPH, Council of Medical Specialty Societies; Brigid K. Groves, PharmD, MS, American Pharmacists Association; and Evelyn Twentyman, MD, MPH, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

At the conclusion of the activity, participants will be able to:

  • Discuss the burden of vaccine-preventable diseases among US adults
  • Understand current vaccine coverage among US adults
  • Implement strategies to increase adult vaccination rates
