Joanna Colbourne, CAE, is deputy executive director of the National Foundation for Infectious Diseases (NFID). Since joining NFID in 2011, she has led education and outreach initiatives, and currently oversees strategic marketing, communications, public outreach, and professional education programs, ensuring alignment with the NFID mission and strategic objectives. Her responsibilities include identifying programmatic opportunities, developing new initiatives, and measuring program impact to enhance infectious disease prevention efforts.

Prior to joining NFID, Joanna served as project manager at the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology, Inc. (APIC), where she managed state-funded and sponsored professional education programs and initiatives. She is passionate about raising awareness about the importance of infection prevention through education.
