Diana Olson is Senior Director, Strategic Communications, at the National Foundation for Infectious Diseases (NFID), where she leads communications, media relations, and digital media strategies to advance the organization’s mission and reach key audiences. She has extensive experience translating complex infectious disease and public health issues into clear, compelling communications for media, healthcare professionals, policymakers, and the public.

Previously, she served as Vice President of Communications at the Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA), where she led communications and member engagement programs and worked with physician volunteers and public health officials to coordinate communications responses to infectious disease outbreaks and public health emergencies. Earlier in her career, she was managing editor of magazines published by the American Association of Health Plans and the American Society of Internal Medicine.
