Join the National Foundation for Infectious Diseases (NFID) for to discuss strategies to prevent hepatitis B among adults and increase uptake of recommended vaccines. Speakers will review current US vaccine recommendations for adults and share effective communication approaches to help improve vaccination rates among adults.

NFID Medical Director Robert (Bob) H. Hopkins, Jr., MD, will moderate the discussion with Lydia S. Tang, MD, Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine and Chari A. Cohen, DrPH, MPH, President at the Hepatitis B Foundation and Professor at the Baruch S. Blumberg Institute.

At the conclusion of the activity, participants will be able to:

  • Discuss current evidence-based vaccine recommendations for hepatitis B among adults in the US
  • Describe the burden of hepatitis B in adults within the US
  • Implement effective communication strategies to improve vaccination rates
