COVID-19 vaccination rates across the US remain low, leading to many preventable hospitalizations and deaths. In this recorded webinar, the National Foundation for Infectious Diseases (NFID) hosts a discussion addressing updates on COVID-19 and current US vaccination recommendations, as well as strategies to mitigate the impacts of COVID-19 in the US.
NFID Medical Director Robert (Bob) H. Hopkins, Jr., MD, moderates the discussion with Peter W. Marks, MD, PhD, Director, Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research, US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and Demetre C. Daskalakis, MD, MPH, Director, National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
At the conclusion of the activity, participants will be able to:
- Describe current burden of disease and recommendations for COVID-19 vaccination in the US
- Implement strategies for increasing COVID-19 vaccination rates in the US
- Discuss rationale for future COVID-19 vaccine updates
