Join the National Foundation for Infectious Diseases (NFID) for a discussion highlighting US immunization recommendations for children and adolescents, in preparation for the upcoming school year. Speakers will review current US immunization recommendations for children and adolescents and share effective communication approaches to help improve immunization rates.

NFID Director Audrey M. Stevenson, PhD, MPH, FNP-BC, will moderate the discussion with NFID Director Matthew M. Zahn, MD, Pediatric Infectious Disease Physician at Rady Children’s Health and Lori K. Handy, MD, MSCE, Attending Physician at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and Associate Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine.

At the conclusion of the activity, participants will be able to:

  • Discuss current evidence-based immunization recommendations for children and adolescents in the US
  • Discuss immunization coverage and barriers among children and adolescents in the US
  • Implement effective communication strategies to improve immunization rates among children and adolescents
