Many children have fallen behind on routine vaccinations during the COVID-19 pandemic. Low immunization rates put children, their families, and their communities at risk for vaccine-preventable diseases like measles, pneumonia, and influenza (flu). Uninsured and underinsured children are eligible for free or low-cost vaccines through the federally funded Vaccines for Children (VFC) program.
