Call to Action report on dangers of flu for adults with chronic health conditions 2018

The National Foundation for Infectious Diseases (NFID) issued this Call to Action in 2018 on the dangers of influenza (flu) and the benefits of vaccination for adults with chronic health conditions (including heart disease, lung disease, and diabetes) and stressed the need for improved flu vaccination rates.

A national survey conducted by NFID found that most US adults are not aware that those with chronic health conditions face a higher risk of flu-related complications, including an increased risk of heart attack or stroke.
