The continuing professional education mission of NFID is to advance the prevention and treatment of infectious diseases through the continuing professional education of healthcare professionals with responsibility for, or interest in, infectious diseases.
The CPE Committee provides oversight of NFID professional education activities, including:
- Evaluating needs assessments and gap analyses
- Managing the NFID Continuing Medical Education (CME) program
- Developing and implementing live education programs, webinars, journal articles, enduring materials, and other educational activities
- Developing and implementing pilot programs based on emerging educational needs
