Join the National Foundation for Infectious Diseases (NFID) for a discussion on the importance of respiratory vaccination among pregnant women and immunocompromised individuals. Speakers will discuss current US immunization recommendations for COVID-19, influenza (flu), respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), and pneumococcal disease, disparities in immunization coverage, and provide effective strategies to increase immunization rates.
NFID Medical Director Robert (Bob) H. Hopkins, Jr., MD, will moderate the discussion with NFID Vice President Kevin A. Ault, MD, Chair and Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Western Michigan University Homer Stryker MD School of Medicine, and Camille N. Kotton, MD, Clinical Director of Transplant and Immunocompromised Host Infectious Diseases at Massachusetts General Hospital.
At the conclusion of the activity, participants will be able to:
- Discuss current evidence-based recommendations for COVID-19, influenza, RSV, and pneumococcal vaccines among pregnant women and immunocompromised individuals
- Discuss disparities in respiratory immunization rates among pregnant women and immunocompromised individuals
