COVID-19 cases, hospitalizations, and deaths are starting to decline in the US, and vaccination rates are beginning to increase. However, public health experts are concerned about new variants, the possibility of reinfection, and the overall risk of complacency.

What impact will new variants have on vaccine effectiveness? What do we know about reinfection? Do individuals who have been fully vaccinated still need to wear masks or be quarantined if they are subsequently exposed to the virus?
