Flu in Day Care report cover

The National Foundation for Infectious Diseases (NFID) issued this report in 2015 on lessons learned about influenza (flu) in day care and strategies to implement prevention programs.

States including New Jersey, Connecticut, and New York City have implemented flu vaccination requirements. NFID and partner organizations convened a panel to discuss the challenges and strategies these jurisdictions employed to establish and implement the mandates. The NFID report summarizes key learnings and shares strategies used to implement these requirements including the importance of education for parents, school providers, and healthcare professionals.
