The National Foundation for Infectious Diseases (NFID) is proud to announce the availability of two conference and one symposium proceedings.
Coccidioidomycosis contains the Proceedings of the Fifth International Conference on Coccidioidomycosis held in San Diego. The book will be casebound in handsome blue lexotone with gold lettering. The new volume will contain over 500 pages, and will be a companion to the proceedings of the fourth conference held in 1984.
Proceedings of the 5th Symposium on Topics in Mycology: Host-Fungus Interplay, held in San Diego in 1995, will also be available this fall. As with the Coccidioidomycosis proceedings, this volume will be heavily illustrated and will contain over 500 pages, including a subject index.
Both conference proceedings will sell for $40 per copy, which includes postage and handling. Supplies of these proceedings are limited. Reserve your copies now by sending your check with order form to NFID.
Proceedings from the symposium, HIV Protease Inhibitors: When and How They Should Be Used, have been published as a supplement to the journal, Infections in Medicine. Topics presented at the symposium included an historical perspective and basic science of HIV protease inhibitors; pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of HIV protease inhibitors; overview of resistance and cross-resistance to HIV protease inhibitors; evaluation of plasma r-RNA as a surrogate marker in the treatment of HIV infection; safety profile of HIV protease inhibitors; and a clinician's practice perspectives on the use of HIV protease inhibitors.
Complimentary copies of the symposium proceedings are being provided as a public and professional service by NFID through an unrestricted educational grant from Merck and Co.
