The Richard J. Duma/NFID News Conference and Symposium on Infectious Diseases provides an opportunity for the nation's public health experts to present an update on current infectious disease threats. This program is named in honor of Dr. Richard Duma, director of infectious diseases at the Halifax Medical Center in Daytona Beach, Florida. Dr. Duma was one of the founders of the National Foundation for Infectious Diseases. Dr. Duma currently serves as Director Emeritus of the NFID Board of Directors.
