NFID Supporting Membership
As a healthcare professional, you know how important it is for people to understand how to prevent and treat infectious diseases. The National Foundation for Infectious Diseases (NFID) believes that an informed public is the first line of defense against infectious diseases. NFID educates the public through awareness efforts that include news conferences, public service announcements, and other campaigns encouraging immunization against influenza, pneumococcal disease, tetanus, diphtheria, and other vaccine-preventable diseases.
But together we can do much more. And that's where you, as a healthcare professional, comes in. Your supporting membership in NFID will help us reach more people with more targeted messages. Your participation also ensures that funds are available for vitally needed advocacy efforts.
You may be familiar with NFID's professional education activities—perhaps having attended one of our conferences or courses, perhaps as a reader of The Double Helix® newsletter or Clinical Updates in Infectious Diseases, or as a consumer of NFID online CME/CE activities.
Supporting membership entitles you to registration discounts for NFID activities. Your annual contribution ($95) is tax deductible to the full extent allowed by law. All contributions will go a long way toward sustaining and advancing NFID public education programs, which hold the greatest promise of helping to raise immunization rates and lower the disease burden in our country.
