Ways to Help

NFID needs your support! Help us develop more programs and web presentations targeted to the general public.

There are two ways you can help. One is to become a Supporting Member of NFID. Another way you can help is through a financial donation to NFID.

NFID is not a government agency. The mission of NFID is:

• to support research that will lead to a better understanding of the causes, cures, and prevention of infectious diseases;
• to encourage and sponsor public and professional education programs;
• to aid in the prevention of infectious diseases.

Founded in 1973, the National Foundation for Infectious Diseases is a non-profit, independent, tax-exempt philanthropic organization under Section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code. NFID has filed reports with the National Charities Bureaus, groups overseeing and promulgating standards for publicly soliciting philanthropic organizations.
