Awards & Grants
NFID presents annual awards to outstanding individuals who have made significant and lasting contributions to public health through scientific achievement, philanthropy, and/or legislation.
The 2015 NFID award recipients have been selected as follows:
Samuel Katz, MD, Maxwell Finland Award for Scientific Achievement Award and F. Marc LaForce, MD, Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter Humanitarian Award.
The awards will be presented at a black-tie dinner on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel and Conference Center in Bethesda, MD. Additional information will be posted as available.
A call for nominations for the 2016 NFID Awards will be issued in Spring 2015. All nominations must include a letter with a detailed description of nominee’s accomplishments, a seconding letter in support of the nomination, a brief citation explaining how nominee’s accomplishments or achievements have made a contribution to public health, and the nominee’s CV and biography. Nominees must be living at the time of nomination. Recipient must attend the awards gala to receive the award. Current members of the NFID Board of Directors are ineligible for nomination.
